Meet Bethany Masters

Bethany Masters was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, a city situated on the banks of the Upper Mississippi River. The river has been a source of inspiration since she was a child, when she savored lazy days exploring its paths and waterways. It was on one such outing that she first discovered the osprey nest on Channel Marker 825.6 and An Osprey Summer was born.  

Bethany loves to work with children. She is an elementary teacher, and is working on her Masters in Education at St. Catherine University. She has a degree in art from Hamline University, and enjoys sharing her passion for nature and the Mississippi River with her students and readers.

We hope you’ll take a peek inside the wonderful world of osprey. Bethany Masters is a young educator who came to Book Bridge Press for help publishing her photographs, signature character and manuscript she had written about osprey. We were thrilled to work with her, and are excited for all of the creative ways she has been using her  book to connect her skills as an educator to new opportunities in classroom situations.
